Student Symposium


The Tennessee Association of School Social Work excitedly announces this year we will be hosting a student symposium poster session. This part of the conference will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd, in Chattanooga, Tn. TASSW invites students at the Baccalaureate or Master’s levels in Social Work and/or related disciplines to submit abstracts for poster presentation(s) at the symposium. This will allow space for students to highlight research surrounding the field of Social Work. Students in Social Work and related fields at all levels are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts.

Students may submit abstracts in teams or individually. Abstracts must include the name of the faculty advisor and list of all student presenters with university affiliation and email address. Abstracts must contain no more than 50 words. Student posters will be judged at the symposium and 1st , 2nd , and 3rd places will be awarded.

1st place will be awarded the Louise Mullican Scholarship Award.

Student(s) will need to be a TASSW member or become a member on or before May 29th , 2026.

Deadline for submissions will be August 14 th . Please submit proposals to tassworg@gmail.com Subject line Student Symposium Submission. Limited spots available. Abstract acceptance will be sent on August 28th .
